When it comes to revamping your wardrobe for a new fashion season, it can take time to figure out just what pieces you want to add to your closet, so we created a list of the must-have pieces for a fashion-forward spring, just for you! There are so many styles that are making a trend statement, that it was a tricky task for us to narrow it down to this list. From cold shoulder tops, to paper bag waist pants (more on that below), we fell in love with every little bit of the fashion this season has to offer.

These styles say it all…

Jumpsuits are making another statement this spring, but this time their adding their own kind of flair with culotte and cutoff styles.

How we like to style them: The great thing about jumpsuits is that they are easy and can be dressed up or down. Throw over a blazer and heels for the office, or grab a pair of sandals for a laid-back casual look!

Button-Up Shirts

These shirts have been around for decades, but they’ve since gotten a makeover and made their way from the workplace wardrobe to every day wear. This season is all about the different ways you can style a button-up (hint: the options are endless!).

How we like to style them: A button-up shirt makes a great layering piece! We love to throw one over a graphic tee or tie one up under one of our favorite spring jackets.

Bra/Crop Tops

Bra and crop tops are trending for spring, and they’re challenging us to style them in ultra-chic ways!

How we like to style them: If you aren’t quite ready to step into the bra top trend (like we were), take the baby step of layering a cropped/bra-crop tank over a button up or t-shirt for a runway meets real-way retro look.

Bomber Jackets

There is nothing better than a cute jacket to top off an outfit on a cool spring day. Bomber jackets make the perfect addition to any outfit – from a casual day to a dressed-up night out!

How we like to style them: Although we love to wear a bomber jacket over a t-shirt and jeans, this season we’re all about mixing edgy and romantic! Try wearing a bomber jacket over a flowy dress with a pair of sneakers for something fun and new this spring.

Fitted & Frayed

Skinny jeans are getting a much-needed upgrade with fun frayed hems and distressed details.

How we like to style them: Just like any go-to pair of denim, this trend works with anything! Throw on a laced-up sweater with a pair of spring-perfect mules for an effortless look to wear all season long.

Statement Sleeves

Statement sleeves, specifically bell sleeves, are taking the spotlight when it comes to tops for spring!

How we like to style them: With so many styles to choose from, it’s hard to say just one way to put a look together – the great thing about this trend is that it’s very versatile. Whether you choose shorts, pants, or a skirt, these tops transfer well into many different kinds of looks.

Military-Inspired Styles

For both men and women, you’ll see tons of this trend – from military jackets, to cargo pants and camo – taking over the racks this season.

How we like to style them: Just because it’s militarty-inpsired, doesn’t mean you have to go head-to-toe camo. Try mixing these styles with something soft and femanine (did you see how we styles this jacket with a floral dress in our lookbook?) or sporty!

Paper Bag Waist Pants

Remember earlier when we were talking about paper bag waist pants? We love the way these pants bring shape to your frame with a higher waist and tied belt!

How we like to style them: We love to fully or half-tuck our favorite tops into these beautiful bottoms! Because of their typical shape, they look best with a pair of heels.

From active-friendly fabrics to stylish silhouettes, that are perfect for throwing over your night-out attire, these pieces are sneaking their way into the style scene for spring soirees that stretch long past office hours.

How we like to style them: Throw on a lightweight blazer over a t-shirt and shorts, and slip on a pair of sandals for a laid-back yet sophisticated look.

We’re so glad we can continue to wear out joggers from last season, and add a few new styles to our spring wardrobe. You’ll find this trend for both girls and guys!

How we like to style them: The photo says it all when it comes to perfectly styling a pair of joggers for gents. For the ladies, we love dressing up a pair of joggers with a fitted top (tucked in) and our favorite pair of heels.

If adding all of these pieces is just not achievable, here are our tips for deciding what trends you want to invest in, and which ones to leave to the racks:

  • Make a list. Compile a list of the pieces that most suit your style and then pick from the top 5 or 3.
  • Decide what’s worth investing in. Ask yourself what you are going to wear the most. Those pieces are the ones investing more money into. If there is a super trendy item you want to try, try finding it on sale, so if you only wear it a few times, buyers guilt isn’t quick to follow.
  • Try things on! We can’t say this enough. We all have items that work really well for us, and other items that just don’t work for us at all. The good news is that most of these pieces come in many different styles, which means there may be one out there that’s perfect for you! Always be sure to try items on to make sure it’s in a style that suits you.

Have a stylish spring!
