Introducing Fall 2017 Colors According to Pantone

From earth tone shades of bold greens, deep reds, and rusted oranges, to bright pops of pinks and blues, these are Fall 2017’s color hues..

It’s that time again! We always anxiously await the day Pantone releases their Fashion Color Report for each fashion season, and this fall was no exception. We were excited to see that some of our fall faves like burgundy and olive green are here to stay, but something even more exciting was seeing the blush tones, yellow/limes, and blues that are carrying over from the spring and summer months!

Take a look at the colors we’ll be adding to our closet this fall, according to the Pantone Fall 2017 Color Report

Grenadine (Pantone 17-1558)

As it’s name implies, Grenadine is on the bolder side of the red hues we’ve seen in fall’s past. We love that it’s a little brighter and evokes a sense of boldness than the more subdued tones we’ve seen for this season.

PAIRS WELL WITH:

  • Black
  • Navy
  • Green
  • Yellow

Tawny Port (Pantone 19-1725)

Sticking with the red color family, this hue is more of the true-burgundy we tend to see in fall. You will see much more of the Cabernet and Merlot-inspired colors throughout the stores!

PAIRS WELL WITH:

  • Grey
  • Pink
  • Brown
  • Ivory
  • Navy

Ballet Slipper (Pantone 13-2808)

For a softer touch this fall, blush tones are staking their claim during the cooler months with lighter pink hues – more among the neutral tones we’ll be seeing throughout the season.

PAIRS WELL WITH:

  • Blues
  • Grey
  • Reds
  • Greens

Butterum (16-1341)

If there was ever a tone that represented fall at it’s finest, it’s this warm and toasty hue. You’ll see this color popping up in footwear, accessories, and cozy sweaters. It’s also the base color to the trending leopard prints you’ll see on the shelves this season.

PAIRS WELL WITH:

  • Everything – a go-to neutral!

Navy Peony (Pantone 19-4029)

If you’re looking for a more dependable color you can count on this season, make Navy your go-to. It not only pairs well with many other fall hues, it works well for pretty much every skin tone and occasion.

PAIRS WELL WITH:

  • Grey
  • Pink
  • Green
  • Orange
  • Yellow

Neutral Gray (Pantone 17-4402)

We love this modern-day neutral that has an added edge as a fall go-to hue. You’ll see this color as a metallic and in a lot of accessories, sweaters and coats for fall.

PAIRS WELL WITH:

  • Everything (consider it your must-have neutral!)

Shaded Spruce (Pantone 19-4524)

Our favorite of this season (mostly because it’s something new!) is this blue-green hue that reminds of a fall forest. You’ll see it making it’s way onto camo pieces and on it’s own in many of fall’s go-to pieces!

PAIRS WELL WITH:

  • Grey
  • Yellow
  • Pink
  • Navy

Golden Lime (Pantone 16-0543)

While we have yet to see a lot of the true “Golden Lime” color, it’s counterpart – a bolder green, in addition to an olive green, have completely taken the racks by storm. Make this your must-have color this season!

PAIRS WELL WITH:

  • Black
  • Pink
  • Grey

Marina (Pantone 17-4041)

To brighten things up a bit, Marina joined the fall color party! While we usually see warmer tones for fall, we are loving the cool and freshness of this color.

PAIRS WELL WITH:

  • Neutrals
  • Pink
  • Reds
  • Greens
  • Yellow

Autumn Maple (Pantone 17-1145)

This color highly resembles last year’s “Potter’s Clay,” but coming in with an even truer orange hue. It brings a ton of warmth and coziness to this year’s palette!

PAIRS WELL WITH:

  • Yellow (think mustard)
  • Navy
  • Green
  • Black
