See how we styled 3 of our favorite springtime pieces to take them from an office no-no to the perfect 9-to-5 wardrobe!
During the spring and summer when we tend to show a little more skin, it seems we have a whole section of our closet that becomes non-office-friendly. In order to help you utilize more of your favorite spring items for a 9-to-5 look, we’re sharing 3 of our favorite on-trend spring items and how they can be easily styled to work for the office!

The Off-the-Shoulder Top
It’s no secret that anything off-the-should has become our spring and summer fave. We just love the look and the many different varieties this style comes in – not to mention it is one of spring’s top trends, which means we are definitely stocking up on them for the season. The downfall of this trend tends to be when it comes to making it office appropriate. Worry no more! Your favorite off-the-shoulder top can easily be styled with the addition of a sleeveless vest to create a statement-making style you can rock throughout your workday.

The Spaghetti Strap Top or Dress
Spaghetti straps have been around for decades, but a majority of the time when we want to wear our favorite sundress or tank top to work, we have to throw on a jacket over it. Although we don’t mind that look, sometimes you just want to try something different! Our advice: try layering under rather than over. We’re all about taking on this retro trend by putting a plain crew neck fitted t-shirt under our go-to spaghetti strapped items. Not only does it add interest to your look, it also allows you to show off your favorite springtime piece (without having to cover it up!).

The Favorite Pair of Shorts
When the weather starts to warm up in the summer, there’s nothing we love more than baring a little leg in our favorite pair of shorts. The good news is, when styled correctly, they can easily work for your office attire (just make sure to ask first!). No, we’re not talking about your Daisy Dukes you take out on the 4th of July, we’re talking dress shorts that offer a longer hem than your off-duty favorites. We found these all over our stores, and there are so many adorable styles to choose from! A few tips: if you’re opting for shorts, make sure to pair them with a fancier top to counteract your bottom half; if you tend to be longer in the legs, try choosing a smaller heel; and always style your shorts with a heel, wedge, or fancier flat to help dress them up for the office.
