No matter your NYE party plans, there always seems to be a bit of sparkle and shine involved (we have no complaints!), and with just a few days of 2016 left, it’s time to start planning the perfect outfit to help you ring in 2017! To us, there’s no better way to head into the new year than in a stylish outfit that makes us feel comfortable and confident going into the year ahead, so we’ve rounded up a few party-ready ideas that are perfect for those opting for something a little more subtle, to those who want go all-out glam.

In our neck of the woods, layers are a must, so if you see yourself hopping from one place to the next before (and after) the clock strikes midnight, picking an outfit that will keep you cozy yet chic is the way to go. With metallic touches being on the top of our trends list (and ever-so appropriate for NYE), we couldn’t help but set our eyes on this gold pleated skirt from Francesca’s. To keep with the need to layer-up, we styled it with a turtleneck, bomber jacket, and statement necklace (also from Francesca’s). It would also look equally chic with a crop top and strappy heels for party indoors.

We can’t say it enough – you can never go wrong with a little black dress, especially when it’s adorned with lines of shiny sequins! When you’re wanting to go glam, search for lux, dramatic textures like faux fur and full sequins. This outfit from Hollister is the perfect way to make a style statement at your New Year’s soiree.

You may remember these little numbers from our holiday style guide, but they are just as chic for New Year’s Eve! We love a jumpsuit for something different, and have seen so many options for anyone’s personal style – from metallic prints to simple black. Glam up this look with statement jewelry, or keep it simple with something dainty. If you love these looks as much as we do, you can find them at Express for 50% off through December 30!

Cozy and casual more your thing? That doesn’t mean you have to forgo the opportunity to add a little sparkle to your style. This sweater from White House Black Market has just the right amount of shine (and is something you can wear long into the new year!). Remember what we said about luxe fabrics? With velvet making a major statement right now, we take every opportunity to incorporate it into our wardrobe, so when we saw these grey velvet pants (also from WHBM), we found the perfect pairing to create an outfit that is ready for any NYE occasion.

Guys, we didn’t forget about you! We know your love for being cool and comfortable, so we styled this leather jacket with a burgundy thermal shirt and jeans (all from JCPenney) to create an outfit that is perfect for a casual gathering to ring in the New Year. When picking your outfit to head into 2017, we love styling the many different jackets on the racks with different undershirts – whether it’s a casual item like a long sleeve thermal, or something a little more formal like a button up.
